Eco-Schools International
Eco-Schools is one of the largest global sustainable schools programmes – It starts in the classroom and expands to the community by engaging the next generation in action-based learning. The programme’s greatest achievement is arguably the fact that it produces generation after generation of sustainably minded, environmentally conscious people. These individuals will carry the behavioral patterns they upvote under the auspices of Eco-Schools with them through life, in turn teaching the next generation the habits to make a difference. Eco-Schools is implemented in 73 countries by FEE member organizations and in 26 countries through International Schools. Eco-Schools has been recognized by HundrED.org as part of 100 inspiring innovations that are changing the face of K12 education today.

Litter Less Campaign
The Litter Less Campaign is an environmental literacy project that can be run in both formal and non-formal educational settings. Due to its visibility and wide-spread nature, litter is a simple way to introduce children and youth to environmental issues and topics. Through the Litter Less Campaign, students learn about different types of litter and waste and adopt a hands-on strategy to reducing and preventing litter and waste in their school and local community. The knowledge and skills gained through the Litter Less Campaign strengthen students’ environmental literacy, promote sustainable behavior change and help shape students into environmental leaders.Currently, the Litter Less Campaign is running in 20 countries. In nine of these countries, the Litter Less Campaign is being run with the support of our partners, the World Organisation for Scouts Movement (WOSM) and UNESCO Associated Schools Network (ASPnet). There’s two ways a school can join the campaign – through our Eco-Schools programme or through our Young Reporters for the Environment programme.
More details about the campaign is available on the website.
